Jennifer Klabunde, DVM, CVCP is honored to be the President of the Northern Michigan Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Klabunde is a member of the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Dental Association, American Association of Feline Practitioners, and American Animal Hospital Association. In her free time, Dr. Klabunde enjoys camping, jogging, fly fishing and participates in several triathlons every year. She is the head coach for ‘Girls On The Run’ at Kingsley Elementary school and is also a Girl Scout troop leader. Clint Klabunde earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology at Penn State. After graduating he went to work for the National Veterinary Services Laboratory at the USDA. If you haven’t seen Clint during your visit to Northwood that is because as Hospital Administrator he is usually in the back taking care of the business side of things. In his free time he enjoys hiking, woodworking, snowmobiling, kayaking, camping and boating.
Patty Neubecker has been working in the veterinary field since 2003. She graduated from MSU in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. After graduation she moved to Northern Michigan working here as the Office Manager and Receptionist. Her family consists of Jared (husband), Hunter (son), and her two dogs Callie & Itsa. When Patty isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and participating in outdoor activities. staff-tessa Tessa Reed was born and raised in Traverse City.  She graduated from MSU in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Zoology and a minor in Spanish.  She came to our practice in the spring of 2013 as a Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist.  Tessa came highly recommended due to her work ethic, as well as her bubbly and outgoing personality, which she has proven true.  Tessa enjoys spending time with family, which includes Darren (boyfriend) and Kyla (canine companion).
Melissa Grimoldby is a licensed Veterinary Technician here at Northwood. She moved here from the Detroit area after graduating from MSU’s Veterinary Technician program in 2009.  She truly enjoys building relationships with clients, caring for sick and critical patients, and dentistry.  When Melissa isn’t working you will find her spending time with friends, outdoors exploring new areas around Traverse City, or at Bay Pointe Community Church, where she is an active volunteer. Rycki Hull worked in the Lansing after graduating from MSU’s veterinary technician program in 2001. When she moved to us from Lansing in 2010, She hit the ground running and quickly adjusted to life “up north”. Rycki is an amazing Technician and is extremely knowledgeable in many areas of veterinary medicine. She has vast experience in behavioral medicine and training. In her spare time, she is an avid outdoors-woman who enjoys kayaking, skiing, and hiking with Doug (husband) and River (canine companion).
Chelsey Harding was hired at Northwood as a kennel technician, caring for our boarding pets. She quickly graduated to Veterinary Assistant because of her dedication, compassion and curiosity of all things having to do with veterinary medicine. Her love for animals led her to Baker College where she became a Licensed Veterinary Technician. In her free time, Chelsey enjoys traveling and spending time with Justin (fiancé) and Oliver (Golden Retriever). Kristy Tompkins is a Veterinary Assistant who came to us from Oregon where she first started her career in the veterinary field. She works with us part time and is very passionate about animals. She is one of the friendliest and nicest women you will ever meet. If you haven’t already met Kristy, stop by to say hello! Kristy and her husband are the proud parents of two children, Graceful and Benaiah.
