Dr. Jennifer Klabunde
DVM, CVCP

Dr. Klabunde is very active within the veterinary community and is honored to be the President of the Northern Michigan Veterinary Medical Association (NMVMA). Dr. Klabunde is a member of the MVMA (Michigan Veterinary Medical Association), AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) and AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) and frequently attends continuing education meetings at Michigan State University and throughout the country.

In her free time, Dr. Klabunde enjoys kayaking, camping, jogging and participates in several triathlons every year. She is the head coach for 'Girls On The Run' at Kingsley Elementary school. Dr. Klabunde and her husband stay busy with 3 young children, 2 labrador retrievers, 1 cat, 1 steer and 2 sheep!

Clint Klabunde earned his Bachelor's degree in Biology at Penn State. After graduating he went to work for the National Veterinary Services Laboratory at the USDA. If you haven't seen Clint during your visit to Northwood that is because as Hospital Administrator he maintains office inside and out along with taking care of the business side of things. In his free time he enjoys woodworking, snowmobiling kayaking and boating.

Patty Neubecker has been working in the veterinary field since 2003. She graduated from MSU with a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science. After graduating from MSU she moved to Northern Michigan working here as the Office Manager and Receptionist. Her family consists of her husband and three dogs. When Patty isn't working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and outdoor activities.

Melissa Grimoldby is a licensed Veterinary Technician here at Northwood. She moved here after graduating from MSU's prestigious Veterinary Technician program and hasn't looked back. She is an extremely positive person, always happy and smiling and genuinely loves being a Technician. When Melissa isn't working, she can be found spending time with her friends, at the beach, or at Bay Pointe Community Church, where she is an active member.

Rycki Hull worked in the Lansing area for 14 years after graduating from MSU's veterinary technician program. When she moved to us from Lansing Rycki hit the ground running and quickly adjusted to life "up north". Rycki is an amazing Technician and is extremely knowledgeable in many areas of veterinary medicine. Rycki has vast experience in behavioral medicine and training. In her spare time, Rycki is an avid outdoors-woman who enjoys kayaking and hiking with both her fiancé and Malamute.

Chelsey Harding has been with us here at Northwood for a long time! She was hired as a kennel technician, caring for our boarding pets. She quickly graduated to Veterinary Assistant because of her dedication, compassion and curiosity of all things having to do with veterinary medicine. Her love for animals led her to Baker College where she became a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Chelsey doesn't have much free time. She is one of the hardest working people we have ever met. But in the rare instance that she isn't working Chelsey spends time with her boyfriend and Labrador.

Kristy Tompkins is a Veterinary Assistant who came to us from Oregon where she first started her career in the veterinary field. She works with us part time and is very passionate about animals. She is one of the friendliest and nicest women you will ever meet. If you haven't already met Kristy, stop by to say hello! Kristy and her husband are the proud parents of two children, Graceful and Beniah.

Julie Winkler is a kennel technician at Northwood. She is a wonderful person that cares for your pets while they are boarding here at Northwood. We are fortunate to have such a bright and sweet person working with us. We haven't met a dog or cat that doesn't absolutely adore her! Julie loves being outdoors and is an avid birder.
