Dental disease is the most common veterinary problem we see, but most of the problems could be prevented with proactive dental care. Here are some things you can do to ensure your pet's dental hygiene:

• Check your pet's teeth monthly
• Once you notice plaque or tarter accumulation, bring your pet in for a cleaning. If you wait, gum disease and tooth decay will occur.

We will also recommend certain diets and toys that are beneficial to your pet's dental health, ensuring their comfort and health for years to come. Gum disease is the single most common dental problem we encounter, and it can be prevented with annual or bi-annual check ups. If dental problems are not dealt with quickly, oral bacteria can spread to the heart, lungs and kidneys, causing serious internal illnesses.
